God used His chosen people to give us a Savior.
Jesus was a Jew, as well as God’s only begotten son. God tells us in John 3:16 what the purpose of Jesus was:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus himself made it clear that Salvation comes from the Jews, when he made the following statement, which we can read in the Book of John chapter 4: verse 22;
“You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.”
Most Jews today don’t yet accept Jesus as the Messiah, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be thankful to the Jews for what God has provided to us through them!
